What is hospice?

Hospice is a philosophy of care focused on comfort and quality of life at the end of life. It’s designed to treat the whole person emotionally, socially, spiritually, and physically by providing comfort and support to patients and their families.

At Delta Hospice Care, we believe that life encompasses much more than just physical health; it also includes the health of the spirit. When one’s physical health begins to fail, the nurturing of the spirit becomes critical for preserving the dignity of the individual.

Patient Eligibility

Hospice is provided to patients who have a terminal illness – which is defined as having a prognosis of six months or less if the disease or illness runs its normal course.
